Abstract

This study examines, through specialized literature, the relationship between corruption and transparency in Brazil, with a particular emphasis on the impact of Brazilian transparency legislation on anti-corruption efforts. A theoretical approach is employed, grounded in an extensive bibliographic review of relevant academic materials and contemporary debates on the subject. Based on this review, the research develops an analysis of the fight against corruption through transparency laws, reflecting on achievements such as increased social control and public oversight, the expansion of preventive mechanisms, mitigation of impunity, and the strengthening of democratic practices. Nevertheless, the study recognizes persistent challenges, including the lack of standardization in data availability and the limited accessibility and comprehensibility of public information.
